Vergil-*Annoyed look, he leans his head a certain way*

Dante-*keeps humming to himself until he hears a strange sound*

Vergil-*turns his head towards Dante* What?

Dante- Did you hear something?

Vergil-Hear what?

Dante-Whistling…

Vergil-*more annoyed look* I don’t whistle. Eyes on the road.

Dante-*shrugs and goes back to driving, minus the finger drumming*

Vergil-*turns his head again and the whistling starts up again*

Dante-There it is again!

Vergil-*head turns towards Dante again* Don’t look at me. Eyes on the road.

Dante-God, I hope it’s not my baby… *tenderly pats the dashboard* I just had her tuned up…

Vergil-*huffs and turns his head away*

*whistling starts again*

Dante-Damn it, Vergil! You mean to tell me you can’t hear that?

Vergil-*head turns towards Dante and whistling stops* Hear what!?

Dante-*blinku* *blinku* Turn your head.

Vergil-What?

Dante-Turn your head, the way it was before…

Vergil-*dark look, but obliged*

*whistling resumes*

Dante-*wide eyed* Holy crap, it does whistle…

Vergil-*glare* Eyes on the road, dumbass…

The above scene was inspired from reading ShyAnon’s fic ‘Bleed it Out’ on fanfiction, which is the sequel to ‘Bleed for Me’. I like them both for their Vergil-ness. ^-^

What inspired this was a comment from Dante before going on a road trip with Vergil to see Amy (ShyAnon’s OC) and he makes a comment about wind blowing through their hair (“"Sure! You, me, the open road and the wind in our hair... Well, maybe in mine...," he grinned as he eyed Vergil's slicked back hair that he had joked plenty of times was made of cast iron metal. Wind through his hair probably whistles.”-Bleed it Out, Chapter 11)

It never actually happened in the fic, but I just couldn’t stop snickering whenever I read over that line. Does Vergil’s hair actually whistle? Probably not, but you never know. It’d probably be another thing for Dante to tease him over.

I recommend reading “Bleed for Me” and “Bleed it Out”!!!!
